Donna Mayeda, MD DipABLM

Donna Mayeda, MD DipABLM is a primary care doctor from California who followed her heart—and her taste buds—all the way to Hawai’i. Drawn in by the islands’ aloha spirit, warm community, and onolicious food, she made her home in Kane’ohe, where her partner of 20+ years, Michael, was born and raised. Together, they’re raising three spirited (and irresistibly adorable) kids, plus one 100-lb German Shepherd named Link—yes, like the hero from Legend of Zelda.

A lifelong Star Wars fan, Donna achieves her balance through yoga and finds joy in sharing good food with her favorite people. Her bucket list includes scoring a goal in a real game (even though she doesn't play soccer) and riding the tube (even though she doesn’t surf)—proof that a sense of humor and adventure are always close by.

Disheartened by a healthcare system that often puts profit over people, Donna is passionate about practicing medicine the way it should be—free from insurance hurdles, endless paperwork, and burnout. She believes in real connections, compassionate care, and helping people reach their own vision of health—physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Donna Mayeda, MD completed medical school at University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC, and her residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, CA. She’s board-certified in Internal Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine—and she can’t wait to meet you. Reach out anytime and may the health be with you!

Michael Mayeda, PhD

Oh snap, he’s a sort-of-doctor too?!

He’s the behind-the-scenes glue holding Ke Ola Noa together—part tech support, part logistics guy, part emotional support human. He may not have a medical degree, but he has strong opinions about fonts and patient experience flowcharts.

He’s the one making sure things run smoothly so Donna can focus on caring for patients. If the lights are on, the bills are paid, or the Wi-Fi is working, chances are he’s the one making it happen.

When he’s not wrangling practice logistics, you’ll find him curating bonsai, watching Port Protection, or explaining (for the 20th time) what “direct primary care” means.

“I already have insurance— why would I pay for a membership?”

  • In traditional healthcare, visits are often rushed and impersonal. We do things differently.

    • More time with your doctor. Appointments last 30–60 minutes, giving you the space to share your concerns and feel truly heard.

    • Deeper relationships. You're not just a number. Your care isn’t driven by insurance quotas or checklists—it's guided by what’s best for you.

    • Proactive, whole-person care. We take time to understand your life, not just your labs. With better access and consistency, we focus on prevention and early intervention to keep you well and out of the hospital.

  • We believe you deserve care that’s accessible, responsive, and stress-free.

    • Same-day or next-day visits. When you’re sick or need help, you won’t wait weeks.

    • Direct communication. Call, text, or email your doctor directly—no hold music, no phone trees, no international customer support representatives.

    • Convenient virtual care. Many issues can be handled by phone or video, saving you time and travel.

  • The healthcare system is complex—we’re here to be your advocate.

    • Healthcare coordination. We walk beside you through specialist visits, hospitalizations, lab and imaging results to determine best next steps.

    • Clear, upfront pricing. We provide transparent membership costs - no hidden fees or guesswork.

    • Insurance, simplified. We help you understand when to use your insurance—and when paying cash can actually save you money.
